PRIVATE WHEEL (all ages)
$30/hr (two hour sessions are recommended), $450/eight 2hr sessions. Discount with groups.

Individually scheduled private/semi-private wheel-throwing lessons, beginner-intermediate. This is a unique opportunity to take advantage of the Larkin Arts facility to receive one-on-one ceramic instruction, register now as spaces will be limited!

EXPLORING EARTH ARCHITECTURE (ages 6-12)

Instructor: Nathan Horst
Using local clay, students will gain an understanding of arches, domes, vaults and various methods of building with clay. Students will use model-building to explore architectural forms.
CERAMICS (ages 8-12)
Saturdays, January 10, 17, 24, 31

Instructor: Valerie Larkin Smith
Play with clay! In this class we will create whistles that actually make music! Turn your clay whistle into a cat, an alien, a dinosaur, anything you want! We will make a unique clay vessel that can hold all sorts of special things… and more! You will glaze your pieces with bright, beautiful colors and paint a few, too!
WHEEL THROWING SPECIAL
Saturdays 3.30-5pm
$60
If you take the Ceramics! class, you are eligible for a special deal. Any student enrolled in the class can stay after for another hour and a half (until 5pm) and take private wheel throwing pottery lessons with Nathan Horst. This is a $180 value!
CERAMICS FOR KIDS (ages 6-8)

Instructor: Valerie Larkin Smith
Students in this class will learn the basics of handbuilding: slab, pinch, coil and model as they create clay projects such as coil pots, cups, bowls, animals and more! Students will glaze and paint their projects to add bright colors and patterns.

Each month, Larkin Art Studios features work by a local artist or two. Every "First Friday", we join with the Arts Council of the Valley and other downtown businesses to hold opening receptions where you can meet the artists, listen to live music and munch on refreshments.
