Advanced Drawing

6 week workshop // Intermediate - Advanced
Saturdays // May 13 - June 17

Building on the basics of Beginning Drawing, we'll explore advanced techniques in shading, drawing, and detail work using color and black and white mediums. Perspective, Florals, Interesting objects, your favorite photographs, and observational still life drawings will all be explored to challenge you and 'draw out' the skilled 2D artist within! 

REQUIRED SUPPLIES: (Students in this class can find these supplies at Larkin Arts and receive a 10% discount)

-Fine-tipped pens (Microns/Staedtler are great, sizes 005, 01, 02, 03, 05)
-Range of graphite pencils, wooden or woodless, from 6H - 8B
-Large eraser
-Blending stumps and/or chamois
-3-pack soft vine charcoal sticks
-one 4B compressed charcoal stick
-set of 12+ quality colored pencils, Prismacolor preferred
-set of 12+ quality soft pastels, Rembrandt preferred
-12" or 18" ruler
-Bamboo brush
-One bottle of black India ink, and 3-4 colored India inks you like
-A medium sized sketchbook capable of handling light washes
-2-3 sheets of 18" x 24" Bristol board (to cut in various sizes)
-14" x 17" good drawing paper, Strathmore preferred
