BEGINNER-INTERMEDIATE

Join us for this FUNctional ceramics class where we will make large and small plates and bowls using soft slabs and molds. We’ll explore hump molds, press molds, and if there’s time we may delve into making our own molds. We’ll make our own templates and use different kinds of textures (lace, paper, leaves, etc) to make one-of-a-kind dishes that you can use every day. They will be dishwasher and microwave safe, woohoo!

Some class details:

-We will use white clay, and we'll have a variety of Amaco Potter's Choice and Celadon glazes available.
-Schedule: 4 days of wetwork, with a demo at the beginning of each day, 2 days of glazing
-We reserve the right to cancel class with fewer than 4 students enrolled.
-Materials Cost includes half a bag of clay, bisque and glaze firings, glazes, and shared tools; additional half bags of clay will be available for $10 each (this cost includes additional firings as needed)
