Drawing Workshop

6 week workshop // Mondays // January 23-Feb 27 // 6-8pm

For beginners and those looking to advance their skills, this six week course will teach both the basics and advanced core principles of drawing all in one relaxed setting. Starting with black and white drawing mediums and advancing to color, this class will get you more in tune with learning shading, perspective, observational drawing, and more. 


REQUIRED SUPPLIES: (Students in this class can find these supplies at Larkin Arts and receive a 10% discount)

Drawing pencils (recommended: Faber-Castell HB, 6B, 2H)
A couple fine-tipped black pens (recommended: Staedtler and/or Micron, sizes 01-05)
Extra Soft/Medium/Hard/White Charcoal pencils, 1 each
1-2 Compressed Charcoal Sticks (recommended: 4B)
Extra Soft Vine Charcoal Sticks (3 or 12 pack)
Eraser (recommended: Kneaded eraser or Magic Rub)
Any size sketchbook, paper suitable for light washes
Set of Colored Pencils (Recommended: Prismacolor 12 set)
Set of 4 Conte crayons, Earth tones
Set of Soft Pastels (Recommended: Alphacolor 12 color set)
Small soft brush for light washes
18" ruler
Chamois (or a good soft small cloth)
Heavyweight Drawing Pad, 18x24 (Strathmore Heavyweight pads 20% off at Larkin)
