My name is Jaynie Rogers. I grew up in Richmond, Virginia and moved to Harrisonburg five years ago. I just graduated from JMU in December of 2017 with my degree in studio art, a minor in art history, and received my teaching licensure. My passion lies in ceramics. I love working with clay because of its malleability to form the surface into whatever forms are calling to me. My hope is to one day find a job mixing my passion for clay and my love for working with children together full time. In my free time I love playing video games with my fiancé, playing board games with my friends, and throwing on my wheel. For the last four summers, I have spent my time working as an outdoor summer camp coordinator, but am very excited to be teaching art classes at Larkin Arts for the summer of 2018.
