“Hi! My name is Kayla Koslow. I moved to Harrisonburg Virginia when I was two years old. For as long as I can remember, I have had an interest in the arts. During my elementary, middle and high school years I participated in numerous art classes, school plays, and sang in the Jazz Ensemble and the high school choir. I played several sports in high school and started my collegiate tennis career at Bridgewater College where I played for two years. I rediscovered my passion for the arts while taking a few summer art classes at Blue Ridge Community College. I continued my studies at James Madison University where I earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in 2011 …..Go Dukes! While at JMU I majored in Studio Art, Photography, and Education. I also earned a minor in Exceptional Education. As a senior art student at JMU I was awarded the Art Educator Scholarship. I was also involved in the honors art fraternity Kappa Pi, where I was the philanthropy coordinator for Very Special Arts. I am currently an art teacher for Page County Public Schools where I work at Luray High School. I have been teaching art for six years in the public schools. I am also owner/operator of Kayla Koslow Photography, specializing in life style photography. I have also worked as an art instructor for JMU Summer Art Program and Larkin Arts for over six years.
